Girl Scout...

Tonight Maddie and I went to her first Girl Scout meeting. We have been talking about it for a week, constantly. Maddie was a little shy at first and didn't want to play with the other girls. I'm sure it was a little overwhelming for her. She wasn't sure she wanted to stay until Ms. Julie walked into the building. Ms. Julie was the teacher's aide in Maddie's class at the beginning of the school year and after Christmas break she had moved to a different class. Ms. Julie is the leader for Maddie's class at Girl Scouts! What a blessing! The rest of the night went so well and she had a blast. I loved Girl Scouts when I young and I was so hoping Maddie would want to be a part of the Girl Scouts. It has changed a lot since I was a girl. The PreK and Kindergartners are Daisies, first and second graders are Brownies, and after that you're a Cadet. I'll keep you posted on how things go!

I was a Brownie for one year growing up. My mom was the "troop leader" (not sure if that's the right name). It was a lot of fun. I always liked the song "Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver but the other's gold."

Hey NeeNee, thanks so much for sharing your family with me. They are beautiful. Especially that precious little Fletcher. I can't believe how grown they are. I think the last time I saw you Maddie was in a stroller. If there is ever anything I can help you with please don't hesitate to ask. I will continue to pray for you and your family. Lots of love!
